Find out a little bit about who I am.

Originating from the city of Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands, where I was born in 1980, I soon learned I had a passion in life for two things: making art & making music.

After college I started an education in graphic design and art history at the Art Academy in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where I received my BA (Bachelor of Arts). During these four years I soon learned that the ‘static’ image was not always pleasing and diverse enough for me and I began to develop my interest in film, moving imagery and audiovisual solutions. As a result I did a one year crash course in cinematography, animation and video-installation at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. During this time I was already working on several projects for clients, so the logical next step was to start working freelance.

Likewise, music is still a big part of me. As an 8-year old boy I started playing the guitar and have never stopped since, playing in bands for over 15 years and touring internationally. This brought me throughout Europe, the United States and countries like India, Nepal, Israel and Mexico. Seeing all these diverse cultures, beliefs and people has made me more aware of the contrasts that still exist in the world today, both positive and negative, inducing a big source of inspiration in my everyday life and work.

Twelve years ago I moved to Amsterdam, a city bursting with energy and creativity and at the same time the melting (hots)pot of media. Here I have worked for broadcasting companies such as SBS, VARA and Talpa, next to a diverse range of digital & advertisement agencies, and producing the occasional music video.

I am also affiliated with Kollektiv Kunststoff, an enthusiastic troop of creative professionals, consisting among others of a director, producer, DOP, stylist and copywriter, to handle the bigger filmprojects in need of an entire crew. You can find the link to our website below.

Now, as a devoted father to my two beautiful children, I am continuously trying to find the perfect balance in life, love, work and play.

Roads? Where we’re going we don’t need roads.
